Service Description
The joint responsible for the opening and closing of the mouth is called the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ). Temporomandibular Joint Disorders are a family of problems related to this joint. TMJ Disorders are not uncommon and are characterized by pain around the ear or in the jaw joints, trouble opening/closing the mouth, clicking sounds when opening/closing the mouth, and headaches. Treatment of TMJ varies between patients. At Alpine Oral Facial Surgery, Dr. Herman will perform a complete oral examination, review and/or request diagnostic scans, and develop a treatment plan for your condition.
