Jaw surgery, also called orthognathic surgery, is a corrective procedure to realign the jaw. Problems with the jaw are either present at birth or caused later in life by injuries or other medical conditions that affect your jaw. At your consultation for orthognathic surgery, Dr. Herman will create a personalized treatment plan with a biomedical engineer to create the best possible esthetic and functional outcomes.
